THE RED LINE GALLERY

Setting up the first exhibiton at the Red Line Gallery

The RED LINE GALLERY is a professional museum-fitted and furnished exhibition space in an unusual location: in the woods outside of the Southern Oregon town of Rogue River. It appears to be an unassuming barn from the outside, set in a grove of beautiful pines and madrones. Stepping inside can be startling, taking visitors into the highly personal vision of artist Susan Eileen Burnes. It's a world of rhythmic, pulsating color in grid-like patterns that resonate with their source: the patterns and light of the natural environment of Southern Oregon.

The sophistication of the gallery space was arrived at by no accident. Susan Eileen Burnes is the president of the Grants Pass Museum of Art and has served as the head of the museum's exhibition committee for several years. She is a seasoned art administrator and curator.

The Red LIne Gallery will host occasional special events by invitation only. Scheduled for May 2011 was a private exhibition of the celebrated art group AMBUS Contemporary Art. AMBUS has previously exhibited at Southern Oregon University in Ashland, Oregon, and the Rogue Gallery and Art Center in Medford, Oregon. Currently, and until the end of July 2011, AMBUS has a group exhibiton at the Grants Pass Museum of Art.

Appointments to visit the private Red LIne Gallery may be arranged by contacting the artist by phone or E-mail.
